I recently added a piece to my panoply relatively rare, the Space Pilot Nuclear Missile Gun: A fine example of a sidearm produced fifty years ago by the Merit of England. The Merit
was a small nuclear munitions factory, for a short time also extended its production to arms for space warriors. Meritorious in name and in fact, the Merit is known for having armed the crews of starships in the period in which England, under the impetus of the never overly praised British Interplanetary Society seems poised to excel in the colonization of the solar system.
